i'm quite excited...but scared. i forgot how it's like to perform infront of 800+ people. last time i did that was in P4, in dance. gah. i get scared just playing infront of 25+ ppl in the band room. how am i gonna play in VCH infront of 800+ ppl!!!!!????
i hope i don't let Constance or Eugenie or any of the seniors down. they helped us alot... sigh, and i hope my embrochure will be okaaaaay by tmr. i didn practice much todae, let my lips rest. hey! i looked in the mirror today while washing my hands and i saw the left side of my lip is bigger/ more swollen than the right side : and it's probably like that coz i have a tendency to rely on the left side of the lip to play. gah. here's what to look out for tmr during the performanceeeeeeee
BLUE RIDGE SAGA Bar 8: Remember to cresendo the quaver and make a wide and loud tone for our GRAND entrance at 9 Bar 11: First trumpet! that high D is very important! No matter what, just push in alot of air, with air comes volume and a good tone! i believe you all can do it, tomorrow just give all you have on stage, i'm sure you all don't want your practice to go to a waste! and NATALIE, YOU BETTER DON'T SCREW UP YOUR SOLO! you can always do it during sectionals, just remember the pitch of all the notes think of them and push in fast air like desouza is punching your stomach! PUSH AIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
BIG FUN IN THE SUN(LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Bar 3: Come in strongly and remember to cresendo! Accent all the notes! Remember to come out from the band! You can do it Oh, the slow part before Bar 76, remember to play it loudly and confident and at Bar 76 Onwards, we are sort of communicating with the flutes, so remember to listen out and play with confidence, remember, relaxed embrochure and fast air for high notes. Bar 97: Wipe Out Remember about your articulation! Play loudly! Play as a section and push air in for the volume. and remember to play loudly for the 2 chrochet parts towards the end!
