hey! JBF's over. it wasnt that bad. surprisingly, i didn get nervous (: yaye!
we didn play as loud as we did during rehearsal though. sorry constance. :( oh well, it's over (:
we reached VCH and when it was time to hv lunch, we cudn find the spoons. haha. then after that, we had a 'briefing' and we 'warmed-up'. haha, it's too early too be called a proper warm-up (: okay, then we watched the other bands have their sound check. loyang's tpet section was quite good. haha, but they didn play beyond the highlands (: xinmin's bth's solo was good. err... ya.
then it was SCGS's turn... yaye... i cudn play the high notes for bfits bar 45 (: and bar 54 (: haha. i thought i was loud, i mean, not LOUD but loud compared to during band prac (:
then we had rest and we watched the performance. hey! fu hua primary school played the same songs we/they played for 'My First Concert' :\ wth. oh well. they are all so smalllll. but noisy. heh heh.
okay, then we performed. i was softer than the rehearsal but oh well. eugenie said that bth and bfits was quite good BUT brs, we were too soft. cudn be heard :\ oh mannnnns. i forgot all about pushing air. i sort of screwed up the second solo though. heh. didn play the 1st few notes and then i forgot to turn the stand so natalie cud see the notes for bar 72. dang. conny was quite happy though, after the performance. (: yaye.
on the bus back to school, i had a long, nice talk with ru yue. she's nice(: she talked about how sucky it was to be a scholar and stuff (: oh! and i found out she is 17 years old! i thought she was 16. heh heh. and she kept saying that we had to play loud, tongue clearer etc. before the performance and said that we were playing in thos concert all for constance - NOT kds (; so sweet right? and she said we must not let conny down and we shud play the best we can to show conny she has succeeded in coaching us (: haha
