heyo! had band today(: constance and eugenie and ling li took us for sectionals today. we played beyond the highlands (: while playing my solo, i cudn blow out anything. only air. eugenie said my embrouchure was wrong so i have to change it. it fells kinda weird and when i blow, my lips want to unfold at first it was okay, then suddenly, i had to put my upper lip onto to the bottom of the cornet mouthpiece to blow a note :\ constance said if it feels uncomfortable, i have to bring home my cornet and practice buzzing on the mouthpiece everyday. but i didn bring home my cornet. not today. haha, i shall bring home on... tuesday and thursday(:
then we had combined. the seniors played with us. yaye! 1st we played blue ridge saga. eugenie played 2nd with me. they played very loud(: mr de souza said that he was waiting for the day where he could tell the trumpets/cornets to soften down. he meant us, but he didn specify. so today, his dream came true. he had to tell the SENIOR tpet-ers to play softer. halfway michelle came. ling li realised that each senior had one junior to play with(: me and eugenie, natalie with ling li, michelle with ru yue and constance with nicolette. natalie cud play her solo very well today. yaye!
then we played big fun in the sun.(: i cant reache all the high notes. so i am gonna die. bleh. then i stayed back extra 20 minutes to practice my solo with the 4 seniors. de souza said my tone was not as nice as natalie's but i had the guts to play the solo :\ i know i cant play very well. i think natalie's better. i cant crescendo and diminuendo and all that crap. sigh... okay, i hope the seniors can come for the other practices(; bye
