heyo! had band today(: constance and eugenie and ling li took us for sectionals today. we played beyond the highlands (: while playing my solo, i cudn blow out anything. only air. eugenie said my embrouchure was wrong so i have to change it. it fells kinda weird and when i blow, my lips want to unfold at first it was okay, then suddenly, i had to put my upper lip onto to the bottom of the cornet mouthpiece to blow a note :\ constance said if it feels uncomfortable, i have to bring home my cornet and practice buzzing on the mouthpiece everyday. but i didn bring home my cornet. not today. haha, i shall bring home on... tuesday and thursday(:
then we had combined. the seniors played with us. yaye! 1st we played blue ridge saga. eugenie played 2nd with me. they played very loud(: mr de souza said that he was waiting for the day where he could tell the trumpets/cornets to soften down. he meant us, but he didn specify. so today, his dream came true. he had to tell the SENIOR tpet-ers to play softer. halfway michelle came. ling li realised that each senior had one junior to play with(: me and eugenie, natalie with ling li, michelle with ru yue and constance with nicolette. natalie cud play her solo very well today. yaye!
then we played big fun in the sun.(: i cant reache all the high notes. so i am gonna die. bleh. then i stayed back extra 20 minutes to practice my solo with the 4 seniors. de souza said my tone was not as nice as natalie's but i had the guts to play the solo :\ i know i cant play very well. i think natalie's better. i cant crescendo and diminuendo and all that crap. sigh... okay, i hope the seniors can come for the other practices(; bye

hello peopleeeeeeee ACES day today 1SE was EMO VAMPIRES. but we never got to be vampires we paid for the fangs and make-up we got the fangs, but did not get any make-up we didn wear the fangs in the end actually, SOME ppl got to wear eye-liner (: haha, ppl sed it made me look cute some sed it made me look emo and some sed i looked happeeeeee haha, i didn think i looked emo i think i looked happy. heheh and..... 1SE won the ACES day 'best dance routine' award!!! yippppppppeeeeeeee! actually i thought we wouldn win any award i kinda messed up i our emo vampire costume definitely wudn win us the 'best costume' award but we did it! thank you miss sharon who choreographed the dance (: but the music was so loud. and yesterday was honours day we were there just to make the hall look full and to make noise noise by clapping non-stop they shud just call it the 'CLAPPING DAY... to make one deaf' a teacher sat behind me it was mrs yogee she clapped very loud my ears were bursting i almost went deaf i had a slight headache too so i covered my ears the whole time and didn clap it was not my fault but she walked away later so my ears were safe (: yaye okay, getting LATE bye!

watching beijing olympics closing cereomny now. maybe, london isnt as nice as beijing. haha. china's so amazing la! okay, need to complete thursday's post.

hmmmm, okay, de souza picked me to submit a photo for Junior Band Fest's cover page of the brochure or wadeva. oh well. and and! my big fun in the sun solo is no longer a solo. it's a duet with... not one of my trumpet mates... its with jamie from clarinets. but she doesnt have to stand. only i have to. why? ;D and at bar 72, instead of me playing alone with natalie, he asked jamie and jing wen(saxophone;tenor) to play with me too! haha. yaye. but i think he forgot that natalie was supposed to play it together with me. but oh well, its just as well. make it louder too. but shudn he ask ALL the trumpet/cornets recruits 08 to play it? instead of different instruments? haha, oh well.

SATURDAY
today, had band, nothing much. rained, so had no drills. YAYE! oh! and victoria found Eugenie's history stuff in room 99/100 yesterday while practicing the banghra dance. so she told me and i passed it to Eugenie. (: band prac... i almost got natalie's blue ridge saga solo coz she cudn play loud enuf. but i didn get it coz i cudn reach the high notes at that time. haha. yaye. i cant just take it away from her! she'll probably hate meeee. bwahah if i'd gotten it, i'd be stressed. reaching HIGH notes for me is not like, a everytime affair. i must be lucky and blah blah blah... all depends on whether my lips 'feel right', whether i'm lucky or in the mood or not. haha, so if i got it, i'd be worried. natalie can reach high notes easier. during training with that benny instructor person, she was already identified as a high note player (: jia you natalie! blow more air so u can play louder! you can do it! okay, tok about this in one whole long paragraph.
tonight, went to singapore flyer. coz of church. boring. ya. but i got FAMOUS AMOS cookies!!! yaye! yum yum
TODAY
skipped bible class to go centrepoint with my cousins and aunties. charmain(sister;P6) went along too. when we were dropped of at novena, i bought bread from breadtalk! haha. random. anyway, ate haagen diaz ice cream later. yummy! now, olympics closing ceremony is officially over, means i must go to sleep. :\ bye

bwahaha. had band today eugenie came for sectionals for AWHILE she gave me a piece of advise - don't squeeze your embrouchure; blow more and faster air to reach high notes! thank you thank you! it really helps! and because of that, i could reach high E and F easily in the beginning and at bar 42 (: and the beginning was very loud tooooooo! thank you!
haha and good luck for your grade 8 piano exammmm! will continue this post next time. bye!

pang sais! haha, i went out to bugis today with shi xuan, elena and gale :) haha, it was funnnn! sad pau and charissa didn come :( oh well... next time ;D we took neoprints and then bot 'baby socks' as elena calls it. and we bought badges too! haha. then at mcdonalds, we split up to but our wards presents. haha. i went with elena and xuan went with gale. me and elena did not know what to buy. i kept choosing things and putting them back. how indecisive ;D so in the end i bot gale a GRAY marker, a toy dog and another baby sock coz gale sed she didn like hers. BUT i may take out the sock and give it to Posh. lol. he likes it ;D
okay... i fell down yesterday at my grandmother's house. i was chasing posh and then he was in the way and i stepped on the plastic drain cover.
it cracked. i fell. my left leg was in the drain.
lol, okay. then i hobbled back to the front door and i had to sit in the bathtub for about 30 mins so that my aunty could help me wash the wound... so i hobbled around bugis today ;D yah... okay, gtg now BYE!

heyyy! today was band handover day and school national day celebration ;D
national day celebration was fun. at least, more fun than last year or last year ... (: we had those large, ugly canvas mats to sit on. it was supposed to be a good thing[for us] but ppl kept stepping on it and so it became wet, leafy, muddy and insect-y. lol. okay, then for singing song time, ppl from our class formed a circle and kept pulling each other around. oh! and the harvard din and tonics performance was awesome! lol. the guys can sing and study at da same time. lol. well-rounded ppl. lol. being retarded here.
HANDOVER: i thought it would last longer and be more... fun and bonding(?) we were let out at 11.11am from the shaw hall so we only had... 15 mins to change? minus 5-10 mins waiting for megan to open the classroom door and getting everything else sorted out. so then rush rush rush to the band room. when i got there, the twins and ru yue were oredi gone - to change ;D. and i was like oh shit.
then i didn have time to re-tie my hair and wipe my sweaty self. lol. so it was quite uncomfortable. and oh! i shud have taken off my PE shorts. make me look so fat and make my skirt puffy :\ and i cudn tie my tie. then i asked eugenie who asked jeanette. but it was too late. time to fall in under the hot sun. so i had to fall out and TRY to tie my tie, which i cudn. i almost cried mannn... then michelle came and helped me. thank you! u saved my life. then took pictures and moved to the shaw hall for the ceremony, that wasnt even like a ceremony. lol. we just stood there in platoon and waited for the sec 4s to handover their posts to the sec 3s one by one. so slow and boring lol. then stood longer for a while to listen to mrs neoh speak. then she let us sit down. my 'belt' at the back of the vest came out and i didn bother to put it back. then georgina [i think], helped me. haha, thank u! then went down to the band room. whole thing - over, just like that. lol.
then changed out of my vest and skirt in the band room and went to change out of long-sleeved shirt. came back, Eunice gave us recruits a toy monky each!!! so cuute! and there was a treble clef badge on it ;D thank you! then had chicken rice for lunch. then went home. or maybe Eunice gave us the monkey after lunch. lol. okay... byeee
